He is also on the board of Talanx AG and HDI Haftpflichtverband der Deutschen Industrie VVaG and Deputy Chairman-Administrative Board at DACHSER Group SE & Co. KG.

In his past career he held the position of Board Member, Director-Finance & Controlling at Voith GmbH Managing Director at Voith Paper Rolls GmbH & Co. KG (Germany), Chief Financial Officer of Voith Paper Máquinas e Equipamentos Ltda and Section Manager-Finance & Accounting at J. M. Voith SE & Co. KG (which are all subsidiaries of Voith GmbH), Vice President of Scharmann Machine Tool Corp. and Technical Director for Bayerische Hausbau Immobilien GmbH & Co. KG.

Hermann Jung received an undergraduate degree from Technische Universität Darmstadt and a doctorate from Universität Stuttgart.
