He previously was Co-Chief Executive Officer of Vantex Resources Ltd., President & Chief Executive Officer at HMZ Metals, Inc., President & Chief Executive Officer for Vanstar Mining Resources, Inc., Senior Consulting Geologist at Merrex Gold, Inc. and Principal at Aur Resources, Inc.

Gilles Laverdière received an undergraduate degree from the University of Montréal.
